Official Commencement of Construction for the Daping Phosphate Rock Mining Project of Contemporary Amperex Technology (Guizhou) Mining Co., Ltd.

On May 20, 2026, the Daping Phosphate Rock Mining Project of Contemporary Amperex Technology (Guizhou) Mining Co., Ltd., a subsidiary controlled by Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited（hereinafter referred to as "the HQ"）, officially commenced construction in Yongwen Town, Kaiyang County. This milestone marks a solid and critical step forward for the HQ in developing upstream mineral resources in the phosphorus-based new energy material industry chain in Guizhou Province.


Covering a mining area of 8.52 square kilometers, the Daping Phosphate Rock Project utilizes underground mining methods. It features a designed production capacity of 4.5 million tonnes per year, a service life of 25 years, and a total investment of RMB 4,656 million. Currently, project construction has fully entered the phase of site preparation, which includes the connection of water, electricity, roads, and telecommunications alongside ground levelling. Under the premise of ensuring safety and quality, Contemporary Amperex Technology (Guizhou) Mining will coordinate scientifically and collaborate efficiently. The company is fully accelerating construction progress, aiming to complete the project and start production by 2030.
